Heavy Equipment Operator


As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. You will work primarily in the construction industry, but may also be involved in other industries such as mining or forestry.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment
- Read and interpret construction plans to determine proper equipment usage
- Communicate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficiency
- Complete paperwork for daily logs, maintenance reports, and safety inspections
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of safe operation practices for various types of heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and diagrams
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Prior training or certification in heavy equipment operation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of $1400 per week.
