Entry-Level Foundryman

As an entry-level Foundryman, you will work under the direction of experienced foundry workers to learn and assist in the process of casting metal objects. You will be responsible for preparing molds, melting and pouring metal into molds, and removing finished castings from molds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with no prior experience in the foundry industry to gain hands-on training and develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing molds by cleaning, assembling, and coating them with various materials
- Operate equipment such as furnaces, ladles, and cranes to melt and pour molten metal into molds
- Monitor temperature gauges and adjust furnace controls as needed
- Remove finished castings from molds using hand tools or machinery
- Inspect castings for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from experienced foundry workers

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring materials and calculating mixtures
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Knowledge of basic safety practices in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required

Salary:
Starting salary for this entry-level position is $1500 per month. The salary may increase based on performance and experience.
