Foundryman


A foundryman is responsible for the production of metal castings by melting and pouring molten metal into molds. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of metals, such as iron, steel, and aluminum, and be able to operate foundry equipment including furnaces, ladles, and molds. They should also have a strong understanding of metallurgy and be able to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate foundry equipment including furnaces, ladles, and molds
- Monitor melting process to ensure proper temperature and quality of molten metal
- Pour molten metal into molds according to specifications
- Remove castings from molds and perform finishing work such as grinding or sanding
- Inspect finished castings for defects and make necessary repairs
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a foundry setting
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with different types of molding processes (sand casting, investment casting, etc.)
- Physically fit with ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1600 per month
