Civil Engineer - Contract Position in Los Angeles



We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of various infrastructure projects in the city.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for project planning and design
- Develop detailed engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for construction projects
- Review project proposals and provide technical expertise to ensure feasibility and compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with contractors and other professionals to ensure timely completion of projects within budget
- Conduct quality control checks on construction materials and methods to ensure safety and durability
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for proposed projects

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field from an accredited university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably working on infrastructure projects in an urban setting
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, codes, and standards
- Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for drafting plans and creating 3D models
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
