Preservation Architect

A reputable architectural firm in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving historical buildings and landmarks, as well as a strong background in architectural design and construction.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical buildings and landmarks to determine their historical significance
- Develop preservation plans that balance the need for modern functionality with the preservation of historical elements
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines and regulations
- Create detailed architectural drawings and specifications for preservation projects
- Collaborate with project teams to oversee the construction process and ensure the preservation plan is being implemented correctly
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Proven experience working on preservation projects, preferably in an architectural firm setting
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques
- Ability to create detailed architectural drawings using software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and team members
- Attention to detail and ability to think creatively when faced with challenges
- Familiarity with relevant preservation guidelines and regulations
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Los Angeles
