A reputable architectural firm in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures while adhering to historical and cultural significance. Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and surveys to assess the condition of historic structures
- Creating preservation plans and design proposals for restoration projects
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and other professionals involved in the restoration process
- Conducting research on historical styles, materials, and techniques
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Overseeing construction work to ensure it meets preservation standards
- Maintaining project documentation and records
Requirements:
- Degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Knowledge of historical architecture styles, materials, and techniques
- Experience working on restoration projects preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to conduct site visits and surveys independently
- Valid work visa or authorization to work in the USA
Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of $1300 per month.
Location:
The position is based in Los Angeles but may require travel within the city.
