Fitter Assistant


As a Fitter Assistant, you will work alongside experienced fitters to assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various mechanical systems and equipment. This is a contract position based in Los Angeles with a salary of $1200 per month. Previous experience is not required as on-the-job training will be provided. Accommodation will also be provided for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities:
- Assist fitters with the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems such as pipes, valves, and pumps
- Carry out basic welding and fabrication tasks as directed by the lead fitter
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Learn from experienced fitters to develop skills in mechanical systems and equipment installation and maintenance

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools preferred but not required
- Willingness to learn on-the-job from experienced fitters
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills

Working Conditions:
This position involves working in various environments such as construction sites, industrial facilities, or outdoor settings. The work may involve standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting, and exposure to loud noises. As this is a contract position, you may also be required to work flexible hours depending on project deadlines.
