Executive Chef - Part Time (Los Angeles)
The Executive Chef will oversee and manage all aspects of the kitchen operations for our restaurant in Los Angeles. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality dishes, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus, taking into consideration customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies to maintain stock
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area to ensure food safety standards are met
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
- Adhere to budget limitations while maintaining high-quality dishes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Biometric passport preferred but not required
Salary: $1600 per month (part-time) with potential for full-time in the future
Location: Los Angeles - accommodation can be provided if needed.
