Head Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Los Angeles. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our customers. You will have a passion for cooking and a creative flair for developing new and exciting dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus and create recipes that align with our restaurant's concept and customer preferences
- Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistent quality standards
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to plan special events or promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining a positive work environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Salary:
$1100 per week (negotiable based on experience)
