Information Security Analyst - Contract Position in Akron, USA


We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Information Security Analyst to join our team on a contract basis. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our company's data and systems. This includes conducting regular security assessments, implementing security measures, and providing recommendations to improve our overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in our systems
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect against cyber attacks
- Monitor network activity for any suspicious behavior or unauthorized access
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis when necessary
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to continuously improve our defenses against potential threats
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all systems and applications are designed with security in mind
- Provide training and support to employees on information security best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in information security (experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, encryption methods, etc.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001/27002
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills

Salary: $1500/month (negotiable based on experience)
