Junior Information Security Analyst

We are hiring a Junior Information Security Analyst to join our growing team in Akron. As a Junior Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our company's information systems and data. This is a full-time position with salary starting at $1800 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests on our systems
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security threats
- Investigate and respond to security incidents
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and industry best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and compliance standards (e.g. PCI DSS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+
- Previous experience in information security or IT audit
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell)
