Freelance Interpreter


We are in search of a talented and highly skilled Freelance Interpreter to join our team in Akron on a contract basis. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all parties involved are able to effectively communicate and understand each other.

Responsibilities:
- Interpreting spoken or written communication accurately and efficiently between English and the target language(s)
- Understanding the cultural nuances and context of the conversation to accurately convey the message
- Assisting with document translations as needed
- Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Respecting cultural differences and being sensitive to different perspectives
- Adhering to professional standards and ethics of the interpreting profession

Requirements:
- Fluency in English and at least one other language (preferably Spanish, Mandarin, or Arabic)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of cultural norms and customs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven experience as an interpreter is preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a language proficiency test

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1300 per month. The exact pay rate may vary based on experience and language proficiency.

Location:
This position is located in Akron, Ohio, but we welcome applicants from all over the world. Please note that this position does not include accommodation.
