As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for creating and formatting text and images for various print and digital media. Your main duty will be to ensure that the layout of text and images is visually appealing and easy to read. You will work closely with editors, designers, and other team members to produce high-quality publications, such as books, magazines, newspapers, and websites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize typesetting software to format text and images according to design specifications
- Proofread content for accuracy, consistency, and formatting errors
- Collaborate with editors to ensure proper use of fonts, styles, and colors
- Resize images and manipulate graphics as needed
- Create templates for repetitive tasks to increase efficiency
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Proven experience in typesetting or a related field is preferred but not required
- Proficient in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Knowledge of typography principles and design elements
- Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines

We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per month for this contract position. This role is based in Akron but remote work may be considered. We welcome applications from candidates of all nationalities.
