Crane Operator



The Crane Operator will be responsible for operating a crane to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment on construction sites. They will follow safety protocols, inspect the crane regularly, and maintain logs of daily activity. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of cranes and possess a valid crane operator's license. They must also have excellent hand-eye coordination, physical strength, and the ability to work in a high-stress environment. This is a contract job with accommodation provided and candidates must have their own visa to work in Akron. Salary for this position is $1200 per week.

As a Crane Operator, your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Operating a crane to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment on construction sites
- Following safety protocols at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you
- Inspecting the crane before each use to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintaining logs of daily activity including materials handled, time spent on each task, and any issues encountered
- Communicating effectively with other team members on site to ensure smooth operations
- Troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise with the crane
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

- Valid crane operator's license/certificate
- Previous experience operating various types of cranes (e.g. tower cranes, mobile cranes)
- Strong hand-eye coordination and physical strength
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings is preferred but not required
