Executive Chef
We are in search of a talented Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in beautiful Bansko, Bulgaria. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production and managing a team of skilled chefs. Your creativity and passion for culinary excellence will be essential in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create innovative menus that reflect the local culture and ingredients
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high quality and consistency
- Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high standards of performance
- Manage inventory and control food costs while maintaining high levels of quality
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or promotions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification from a recognized culinary school preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in fine dining or luxury hotel restaurants
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Bulgarian language is a plus
- Must have legal authorization to work in Bansko without sponsorship
