Executive Chef- Bungoma, Kenya



As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and food preparation in our busy restaurant in Bungoma, Kenya. We are seeking a passionate and creative individual with previous experience in a similar role who is able to lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create innovative menus that meet quality standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other employees
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to source fresh ingredients
- Oversee food presentation techniques to maintain high-quality standards
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Proven track record of creating successful menus in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary:
We are offering a highly competitive salary of $1100 per month for this position.

Accommodation:
We provide on-site accommodation for our Executive Chef.

Visa Sponsorship:
We are able to provide visa sponsorship for non-Kenyan candidates if needed.
