Power Engineer


We are in search of a skilled and experienced Power Engineer to join our team in Bungoma. As a Power Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining electrical power systems. Your role will involve working on various projects related to power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing electrical power systems for different projects
- Conducting feasibility studies and analyzing data to determine the best approach for each project
- Collaborating with other engineers and technicians to ensure efficient and effective design implementation
- Performing simulations and calculations to determine system performance and identify potential issues
- Testing and commissioning power systems to ensure they meet safety standards
- Troubleshooting technical issues that may arise during construction or operation of power systems
- Developing maintenance plans and overseeing routine maintenance activities for power systems
- Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in technology related to electrical power systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Power Engineer or in a similar role
- Proven experience designing, testing, and maintaining electrical power systems
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to power generation, transmission, and distribution
- Proficient in using software programs such as AutoCAD or ETAP for design simulations
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Willingness to work on site at project locations as needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1200$ per month for this contract position. Accommodation will be provided as well as a free visa and ticket.

Location:
This position is based in Bungoma but may require travel to project sites within the country.
