Junior Shaper - Bungoma, Kenya


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Shaper to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. As a Junior Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping materials into specific forms using hand tools and machinery. Your main duties will include cutting, sawing, sanding, and shaping materials according to specifications provided by senior shapers.

Responsibilities:
- Use hand tools and machinery to shape materials such as wood, metal or plastic
- Read and interpret blueprints or diagrams to determine required dimensions
- Measure and mark materials for cutting or shaping
- Cut materials using saws or other cutting equipment
- Sand surfaces of shaped materials to smooth out rough edges
- Operate power tools such as drills or grinders to shape or modify materials
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and machinery used in shaping
- Ability to read blueprints or diagrams accurately
- Good physical stamina and strength
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Willingness to learn from senior shapers
- Own visa for working in Kenya

Salary:
We offer a starting salary of 1800$ per month for this position.
