Senior Accountant

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our team in Nakuru. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Your main duties will include preparing financial statements, managing budgets, analyzing data, and providing financial advice to management.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting principles
- Manage budgets and ensure that expenditure is within approved limits
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to help guide decision making
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards
- Supervise junior accounting staff and provide training as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA certification is a plus

Salary: $1000 per month without accommodation
