Restaurant Manager
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Restaurant Manager to join our team in Nakuru. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our restaurant. Your main duties will include managing staff, ensuring quality customer service, maintaining inventory levels, and implementing marketing strategies to increase business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations
- Train, supervise, and schedule staff members to ensure efficient and effective service
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Manage the restaurant's budget and financial transactions
- Collaborate with the chef to create menus that meet customer needs while also being cost-effective
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant at all times
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards
- Proficient in budgeting, inventory management, and financial reporting
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
- Prior experience working in a full-service restaurant
