Surveyor Assistant


We are a reputable surveying company based in Nakuru, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Surveyor Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates looking to gain experience in the field of surveying.

As a Surveyor Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced surveyors to assist with various tasks such as data collection, site inspections, and measurements. You will also have the opportunity to learn how to use surveying equipment and software.

This is a contract position with the option for accommodation provided. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, be physically fit, and have good attention to detail. Previous experience in surveying is not required but would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with data collection and measurements on various job sites
- Conduct site inspections and document findings
- Learn how to operate surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS devices
- Use software programs to input collected data
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Follow safety protocols while working on job sites

Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g. land surveying, geomatics)
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced surveyors

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1400 per month.

This position is based in Nakuru, Kenya.

Contract Job:
This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on performance.
