Job Title: Junior Land Surveyor
As a Junior Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting land surveys and producing accurate measurements and data for construction, engineering, or mapping projects. You will work alongside experienced surveyors to learn the necessary skills and techniques to perform your duties effectively. This position also requires the ability to travel to different job sites within the city of Nakuru and possibly other locations in Kenya. A biometric passport is required for this role. Accommodation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with conducting land surveys using various equipment such as GPS, total stations, and levels
- Collect and analyze data to create maps, plans, and reports
- Utilize computer software to process survey data and create digital representations of surveyed areas
- Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate survey results meet project requirements
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
- Keep accurate records of survey data and paperwork
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations while on job sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in land surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in land surveying (experience with topographical surveys is preferred)
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using land surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, levels, etc.
- Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD) is an asset
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Must have a valid biometric passport
- Willingness to travel within Nakuru city and potentially other locations in Kenya
Salary: $1400 per month
