Job Title: Blast Furnace Operator
As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of blast furnaces in our steel production plant located in Nakuru. Your main duties will include monitoring and controlling furnace temperatures, pressure, and flow rates, adjusting equipment settings as needed, and troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures at all times, and completing production reports.
To be successful in this role, you must have prior experience working with blast furnaces and possess a strong understanding of the steel production process. You should also have the ability to read and interpret technical documents, operate various machinery and equipment, and have a good mechanical aptitude. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential for this position.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with blast furnaces in a steel production environment
- Strong understanding of the steel production process
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Familiarity with operating machinery and equipment
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
Salary: $1600 per month.
