CNC Operator

We have an urgent opening for a skilled CNC operator to join our team in Nakuru. As a CNC operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components. Your main duties will include programming machines, monitoring the production process, and inspecting finished products for quality assurance.

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a CNC operator
- Knowledge of G-code programming and experience with CNC software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Physical dexterity and ability to stand for long periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification

Responsibilities:
- Set up machines according to job specifications using G-code programming language
- Load materials into the machine and adjust machine speeds and feed rates as needed
- Monitor the production process, make adjustments as necessary, and perform quality checks on finished products
- Troubleshoot machine errors and perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating machines
- Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
- Record production data accurately in logbooks or computer systems
- Communicate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
