Job Title: Mason - Bricklayer and Construction Specialist


As a Mason, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, and maintenance of structures made from brick, stone, concrete blocks or other similar materials. You will use your skills to create strong, durable and aesthetically pleasing buildings and structures. Your precision in measurements and attention to detail will ensure that every project is completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction site by cleaning, preparing, and setting up necessary tools.
- Read blueprints or drawings to plan construction layout.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials.
- Install structures such as walls, floors, roofs using appropriate tools.
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using a trowel.
- Lay bricks or stones in a specific pattern to create walls or other structures.
- Cut or shape materials to fit around corners or openings using hand or power tools.
- Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones.
- Adhere to safety practices while working with heavy materials and equipment.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mason with a portfolio of completed projects.
- In-depth knowledge of different types of bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and their properties.
- Ability to read blueprints or drawings accurately.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools such as trowels, chisels, saws etc.
- Skilled in mixing mortar or grout to achieve desired consistency.
- Physically fit with good balance and dexterity for working at heights or in confined spaces.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required. Vocational training/certification in masonry preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred (not mandatory).

Location:
This position is based in Mombasa with the possibility of travel within the city for different projects.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month, with accommodation and transport provided.
