Blast Furnace Operator



A reputable steel manufacturing company in Mombasa is seeking a skilled and experienced Blast Furnace Operator to join our team. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces to produce molten iron for the production of steel.

Responsibilities:
- Operate blast furnaces according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and other indicators to ensure smooth operation of the furnace
- Adjust controls and valves to regulate air, fuel, and water flow into the furnace
- Monitor and maintain proper levels of raw materials such as iron ore, coke, and limestone in the furnace
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during operation and make necessary adjustments
- Conduct regular maintenance on furnace equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Keep accurate records of production data and report any discrepancies or issues to management
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Blast Furnace Operator in a steel manufacturing facility
- Strong technical skills with the ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- Must be able to work full-time without accommodation

Salary:
