Part-Time Librarian

We are seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team in Eldoret. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with finding materials, and managing library programs and events.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in library cataloging systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities:
- Catalog and classify new materials using the library's cataloging system
- Assist patrons with locating materials and providing reference services
- Organize and maintain the physical layout of the library
- Develop and implement programming for all age groups, such as story times, book clubs, and educational workshops
- Keep accurate records of materials borrowed, returned, or overdue
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and promote library events and programs
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in literature, technology, and education to provide relevant resources for patrons
