Merchandiser Specialist

We are a retail company based in Eldoret, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Merchandiser Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends, as well as experience in product placement and inventory management. The primary responsibility of the Merchandiser Specialist will be to develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also be responsible for training and supervising junior merchandisers, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior to identify trends and opportunities for product placement
- Develop merchandising plans for new products or seasonal promotions
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or discontinuing products
- Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate pricing for optimal profit margins
- Train and supervise junior merchandisers on best practices for product placement and display
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and logistics to ensure efficient execution of merchandising strategies
- Regularly review sales data to evaluate the success of merchandising strategies and make adjustments as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in retail merchandising or related field
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends
- Experience with inventory management systems preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

We offer a competitive salary package of 1700$ per month, as well as accommodation options for out-of-town candidates. This is a full-time position with regular working hours.
