Mason - Construction Worker

As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, concrete blocks, or similar materials. You will work as part of a team to ensure that buildings and other structures are strong, durable, and safe. This position requires a high level of physical strength and stamina, as well as excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Lay out patterns or foundations according to blueprints or specifications
- Cut or break bricks and concrete using hammers, chisels, or power tools
- Mix mortar or grout by hand or with a mixing machine
- Spread mortar evenly between layers of bricks or stones
- Adjust alignment and spacing of bricks using levels and plumb lines
- Repair cracks or damage in existing structures
- Install firebricks in high-temperature environments such as kilns or furnaces
- Clean excess mortar from finished work using trowels and brushes
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a mason in the construction industry
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with common masonry tools and equipment such as trowels, saws, levels, etc.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Salary: $1400 per month (without accommodation)
Location: Eldoret (Kenya)
