Executive Chef for a Luxury Resort in Malindi


We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Malindi. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service is delivered to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus that showcase local and international cuisine, while catering to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Source ingredients from local suppliers and maintain high standards of food quality
- Oversee kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and managing performance
- Monitor inventory levels and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or themed dinners
- Continuously review and improve menu offerings based on guest feedback

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury resort or fine dining establishment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
- Excellent knowledge of different cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swahili is an advantage

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month. We also offer free visa sponsorship and airfare for international candidates.

This position is located in Malindi, a beautiful coastal town known for its white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and rich Swahili culture. It is a popular tourist destination with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as snorkeling, diving, and safari tours.
