Instrument Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Instrument Technician to join our team in Malindi. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and equipment used in industrial or commercial settings. This includes but is not limited to electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities:
- Install and set up new instruments and equipment according to blueprints and technical manuals
- Inspect and test instruments to identify any defects or malfunctions
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and soldering irons
- Calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy and precision
- Develop maintenance schedules for instruments and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Troubleshoot complex issues with instruments using diagnostic tools
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all installations, repairs, and maintenance work
- Keep detailed records of work performed and any maintenance or repair needs for future reference

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification; technical degree preferred
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and circuitry principles
- Familiarity with various types of instrumentation such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors etc.
- Proficient in using hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters etc.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow instructions accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Good physical stamina as the job may require lifting heavy equipment or standing for long periods of time
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary

Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

City: Malindi (accommodation not provided)
