Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Malindi. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry department and ensuring the highest quality of desserts and baked goods are produced for our guests.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new pastry items to be featured on our menu
- Train and mentor pastry staff to maintain consistent quality and presentation
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for all pastry items
- Ensure all health and safety standards are met in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Creative flair with an eye for detail
- Ability to handle high-volume production while maintaining quality
- Knowledge of current food trends and techniques
- Excellent time management skills
- Fluent in English

Salary: Competitive salary of 1200$ per month plus benefits.
