Power Engineer (Malindi, Kenya)

As a Power Engineer in Malindi, Kenya, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining electrical systems and components for various power plants and facilities. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient operation of power generation equipment while meeting all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing electrical systems for power plants, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and other equipment
- Conducting site visits to assess existing systems and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements
- Developing plans for maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment
- Troubleshooting issues with power generation equipment and implementing solutions
- Collaborating with other engineers and technicians to ensure timely completion of projects
- Staying up-to-date on industry developments and regulations related to power generation
- Ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in power engineering or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, maintenance, and repair
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to power generation
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective communication skills

Salary: $1400 per month with accommodation provided.
