Job Title: Slinger
Location: Malindi, Kenya
Salary: $1300 per month



We are in need of experienced Slingers to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Slinger, you will be responsible for safely moving and positioning heavy objects such as construction materials or equipment using cranes and other lifting equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and ensure proper functioning of lifting equipment before use
- Communicate with crane operators to ensure safe movement of objects
- Attach and detach loads from cranes using appropriate rigging techniques
- Direct crane operators on proper positioning of loads
- Secure loads with chains, ropes, or slings to prevent shifting during movement
- Signal crane operators using hand signals or radio communication
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust lifting operations accordingly
- Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Slinger or similar role in a construction environment
- Knowledge of various rigging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
- Ability to interpret blueprints and understand load capacities
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day
- Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear instructions and follow directions accurately
- Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
