Contract Office Manager - Malindi, Kenya
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Office Manager to join our team in Malindi, Kenya on a contract basis. As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our office and ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all office activities, including scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and maintaining office supplies
- Act as the first point of contact for all visitors and respond to inquiries via phone, email or in person
- Prepare and distribute internal communications such as memos and reports
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance and leave requests
- Oversee the recruitment process for new employees including posting job ads, scheduling interviews and conducting background checks
- Develop and maintain effective filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of documents
- Monitor office budget and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or similar role
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles is preferred
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential
