Cashier (Mombasa, Kenya)


We are hiring a Cashier for our busy retail store in Mombasa. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, managing the cash register, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. This is a full-time position that requires experience in cash handling and is suitable for men.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service at the cash register
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and reconcile with daily sales
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized
- Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar role
- Ability to handle cash accurately and efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Strong communication skills in English (Swahili is an advantage)
- Basic math skills to calculate change and totals
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in record keeping
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
