Merchandiser - Al Buraymi, Oman
Our growing retail company is seeking a highly motivated and organized Merchandiser to join our team in Al Buraymi, Oman. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess strong communication and analytical skills. This position offers a competitive salary of 1600$ and does not include accommodation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure product placement, displays, and inventory levels are in line with company standards
- Collaborate with sales team to create effective product displays and promotions that drive sales
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Build strong relationships with store managers to ensure our products are given prime positioning in stores
- Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate any discrepancies or shortages to the appropriate teams
- Work closely with suppliers to coordinate timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise
- Participate in product development meetings to provide insights on customer preferences and market demand
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Merchandiser or similar role in the retail industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions based on market trends
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for inventory management
- Familiarity with POS systems is an asset
- Must have own visa for employment in Oman
