Executive Chef - Russian Cuisine
We are searching for a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury restaurant in St-Petersburg. The ideal candidate should be passionate about Russian cuisine and have a strong understanding of the local food culture and traditions.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop unique menus featuring traditional Russian dishes with a modern twist
- Train, supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost control to meet budget goals
- Collaborate with suppliers to source fresh, high-quality ingredients
- Maintain kitchen equipment in good working condition
- Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques in Russian cuisine
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef specializing in Russian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of Russian cooking techniques, flavors, and ingredients
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Creative thinking and ability to develop innovative menus while staying true to traditional dishes
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required
- Fluency in English is preferred; knowledge of Russian is an asset
