Typesetter (Contract) - St. Petersburg, Russia


We are seeking a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team on a contract basis in St. Petersburg, Russia. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for print and digital publications according to design specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Format and arrange text and images for books, magazines, newspapers, and other print materials
- Ensure consistency in font styles, sizes, spacing, and overall layout
- Work closely with editors and designers to ensure the final product meets design specifications
- Use desktop publishing software to create high-quality layouts for both print and digital publications
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy of all content before final publication
- Make necessary adjustments to layouts based on feedback from editors or clients
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in typesetting

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in InDesign or other desktop publishing software
- Strong understanding of typography principles and design elements
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and take constructive criticism positively
- Creative mindset with problem-solving skills
- Own visa or ability to obtain work permit in Russia
- Willingness to work on a contract basis with provided accommodation

Salary: 1200$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
