Smelter Operator


We are seeking a skilled Smelter Operator to join our team in Split, Croatia. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the smelting process to produce metal from ore or scrap. Your main duties will include setting up and monitoring the smelting process, adjusting controls to regulate temperature and flow of materials, and troubleshooting any equipment malfunctions.

To be successful in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least 2 years of experience working as a Smelter Operator. You should also have a strong understanding of metallurgy principles and be familiar with the operation of various types of smelting machinery. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and prepare equipment for the smelting process
- Monitor temperature and flow of materials during the smelting process
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain proper levels
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the smelting process
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Maintain accurate records of production data
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed
