Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including creating and executing new menu items, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and ensuring high quality and consistency in all pastries.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new pastry menu items that are innovative and visually appealing.
- Train and supervise other pastry chefs to ensure consistency in production and presentation.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus that incorporate pastry dishes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our pastry offerings.
- Conduct performance evaluations for pastry staff members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of various baking techniques, methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
- Creativity in developing new recipes while also maintaining consistency in established ones.
- Attention to detail with a focus on presentation and taste of all pastries.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Food safety certification preferred.
Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of 1200$ per month.
