Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database structures based on business needs
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Perform regular backups and updates to ensure data security

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, performance optimization, backup & recovery methods
- Familiarity with data backup, migration, transformation tools (e.g. SQL Server Integration Services)
- Ability to troubleshoot common database issues quickly & efficiently
- Excellent communication skills & ability to work both independently & collaboratively

Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Python)
- Certification in database administration
