We are seeking a dependable and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team at a retail store in Muharraq, Bahrain. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for efficiently processing customer transactions and maintaining accurate records of sales and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately
- Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies
- Keep the checkout area clean and well-stocked
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare daily sales reports
- Assist with restocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure the protection of company assets
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Basic math skills for calculating change and handling transactions accurately
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
