Junior Database Administrator



We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Shan, China. As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, security, and performance of our company's databases. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in database administration.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and upgrading of databases
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing backup and recovery plans
- Collaborate with other IT team members to optimize database storage and improve efficiency
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as data backup, restoration, and query optimization
- Document database processes and procedures for future reference
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems (Oracle, MySQL)
- Familiarity with data backup/recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning
- Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred:
- Previous internship or work experience in database administration or IT support role
- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)

Salary: $1100/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Shan, China (free visa and ticket provided)
