Executive Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Shan, China)



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at our renowned fine dining restaurant located in Shan, China. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences and the ability to lead a team of talented chefs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Ensure high quality and consistency in food production by maintaining strict standards and conducting regular quality checks
- Develop new menu items and ensure that they meet customer preferences and dietary requirements
- Manage inventory levels and control food costs by minimizing waste
- Train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, pricing strategies, and other business decisions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an executive chef or sous chef in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor kitchen staff
- Ability to create innovative menus while also maintaining classic dishes that are popular among customers
- Knowledge of current food trends and the ability to incorporate them into menu planning
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the restaurant
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese is preferred but not required
