Surveying Technician
As a Surveying Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the collection and analysis of land survey data. You will work closely with experienced surveyors to help determine property boundaries, create maps and charts, and provide accurate data for construction projects. Your attention to detail and technical skills will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy of survey measurements and calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting field surveys using a variety of equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners.
- Collect and record precise measurements of land features, structures, and property boundaries.
- Use software programs to process survey data and create maps, charts, and reports.
- Collaborate with surveyors to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is calibrated properly.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in various outdoor environments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Previous experience in surveying or related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners.
- Proficiency in using software programs for processing survey data (e.g. AutoCAD).
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurement calculations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license.
Salary:
This position offers a salary of $1500 per month.
