Librarian


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Balzers. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting literacy and lifelong learning within our community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and catalog library materials using appropriate systems
- Develop and maintain a diverse collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and digital resources
- Assist patrons with locating materials, reference questions, and technology use
- Plan and implement educational programs and activities for all ages
- Collaborate with local schools to promote literacy initiatives
- Stay updated on industry trends and technology advancements in the library field
- Maintain the library’s budget and track expenses for materials and programs

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of cataloging systems, reference resources, and information literacy principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patrons of all ages
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Studies
- Experience with electronic databases and digital resources
- Knowledge of current trends in children’s literature

Salary: $1500 per month

Location: Balzers (accommodation not provided)
