Junior Librarian - Entry Level

As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library. Your main duties will include organizing and shelving books, checking books in and out, and helping patrons find materials. You will also be expected to assist with cataloging and inventory management, as well as providing customer service to library users.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong passion for books and a desire to help others. While no prior experience is required, a degree in library science or a related field is preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in library services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and shelve books according to library classification system
- Check books in and out using computerized systems
- Assist patrons in finding materials and answering basic inquiries
- Process new materials by cataloging, labeling, and adding them to inventory
- Help maintain neat and orderly shelves, displays, and work areas
- Provide friendly customer service to library users of all ages

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in library science or related field preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Passion for books and knowledge sharing
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

This is a full-time position offering a salary of $1100 per month. We also provide free visa sponsorship and airfare for the right candidate. This position is located in Balzers, a beautiful town nestled in the mountains of Liechtenstein. While preference will be given to local candidates or those already authorized to work in Liechtenstein, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds who are willing to relocate.
