Librarian Assistant


We are seeking a diligent and organized Librarian Assistant to join our team in Ufa. In this role, you will assist the librarian in the day-to-day operations of the library, ensuring a pleasant and efficient experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for books and literature.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating materials and using library resources
- Check materials in and out, collect fines, and update patron records
- Shelve returned materials accurately and maintain organization of shelves
- Process new materials by labeling, covering, and adding them to the library's database
- Answer phone calls and emails, providing information and assistance as needed
- Plan and facilitate library events such as book clubs or storytime for children
- Keep the library clean, tidy, and presentable at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Russian (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Passion for books, literature, and promoting reading within the community

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month based on qualifications and experience.

Location:
This position is located in Ufa. Relocation or accommodation will not be provided.
