Head Chef
As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to customers. You will be in charge of creating menus, managing inventory and budgets, and training and supervising kitchen staff. Your creativity and culinary expertise will be key in developing new dishes and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. You should have strong leadership skills and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Develop menus that are innovative and appealing to customers
- Manage inventory levels to ensure freshness of ingredients and minimize waste
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food handling techniques
- Ensure all health and safety standards are met in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a chef or sous chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to lead a team effectively through clear communication and positive motivation
- Experience with menu planning, budgeting, and inventory management
- Thorough understanding of health codes and regulations
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, etc.
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
